The West African Holidays, Travel and Tourism Expo (WAHTTEX) is a marketplace where stakeholders in the tourism sector and all of its industries from the host country, sub-region, and around the globe meet under one roof to do business.
The Holidays Travel Expo has come to fill gaps in the MICE industry relative to travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors of Ghana as well as the ECOWAS region and the continent as a whole. It will streamline and bring together businesses and key industry stakeholders to a selected destination on an annual rotational basis in a designated capital city of West Africa.
"It is a platform that offers international tour operators, travel agents, and other travel suppliers in the sector the opportunity to meet with local partners and have a firsthand experience of the destination they are planning for their clients."
More importantly, it is the occasion for nationals of the host country to meet with industry operators to plan, arrange, and book packages for the coming vacation, thereby promoting domestic tourism for sustainable development.
